How Epoxy Flooring Daytona Beach Works
Epoxy Flooring Daytona Beach coats concrete: garage floors, lanais, patios, pool decks, interior slabs, shops and commercial floors in Daytona Beach and the towns around it in Volusia and Flagler counties. We install epoxy, polyaspartic, flake broadcast and metallic systems. We pick the system after we have tested and looked at the slab.
In this climate, most coating problems trace back to three things: moisture coming up through the slab, sunlight breaking down a topcoat that was never meant for UV, and coats applied when the air was too humid. A garage that faces west, a pool deck in full sun and a shop floor near the Halifax River each need different choices. We make those choices on site and write them into the quote.
How we work
- We visit, measure the floor, and test the slab for moisture.
- We note oil, old paint or sealers, cracks, low spots and any sign of past water in the garage.
- You get a written quote naming the system, each coat, the prep steps and the total.
- Concrete is diamond ground so the coating bonds to sound, open concrete.
- Cracks and chipped joints are filled before the first coat.
- We check temperature, humidity and dew point before each coat, and we reschedule if the readings are wrong.
- We tell you when you can walk on the floor, move things back and park, based on the product and the conditions that day.
- Any change to the scope is written up for you to approve first.
We work on concrete only. We do not coat wood, tile or vinyl. If a slab has a problem a coating will not solve, such as water coming in during storms, a structural crack or a slab that is heaving, we tell you before you spend money on a floor.
